Control Room and MSN bring an exclusive performance from multi-platinum artist, Jack Johnson, to fans worldwide on MSN Music in Concert. Live from Kokua Festival, Honolulu Hawaii’s carbon neutral/zero waste festival, and with special guests Dave Matthews and Matt Costa, Jack Johnson delivers a slew of sandy summer sounds from the steel drum, slide guitar-driven “Flake” to the upbeat blues of “Sitting, Waiting, Wishing” to the sage sing-along “If I Had Eyes.”
The festival, now in its 5th year, benefits the Kokua Hawaii Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawaii. Their mission is to provide students with exciting and interactive encounters that will enhance their appreciation for and understanding of their environment so that they will be lifelong stewards of the earth.

Los Angeles, Calif. – Madonna’s exclusive performance at New York City’s famed Roseland Ballroom will be available live to millions of fans via an online broadcast at music.msn.com/madonna, it was confirmed today by MSN and Control Room, which announced that the show will stream live on Wednesday evening, April 30 at 10 p.m./EDT in the US and will be available on demand to international audiences on May 15.

The inaugural MIDEM Green World Awards will honour three trailblazers in ecological live event production. Live Earth, The Roskilde Festival and The Paléo Festival Nyon will be recognized for their substantial contribution to combating climate change. The MIDEM Green World Awards are part of the 42nd MIDEM international music market, taking place in Cannes from 27 to 31 January 2008.
The awards pay tribute to those who have integrated sustainable development practices within the live music sector whilst promoting greater awareness of environmental issues and personal responsibility.
Kevin Wall, the Founder & CEO of Live Earth (USA), Henrik Rasmussen, General Manager of Roskilde Festival (Denmark) and Daniel Rossellat, President of Paléo Festival Nyon (Switzerland), will receive the honour at a special awards ceremony during MIDEM’s ‘Green & Live’ conference held on 29 January. This will be followed by the panel discussion, ‘A Greener Live, Raising the Bar’, which will feature other prominent figures from the live industry.

Beverly Hills, Calif. – Rihanna will have to wait until February to see if she takes home a Grammy, but Control Room and MSN today announced the international star has already beaten out her competition as the most-streamed performer on MSN Music in Concert in 2007. During the first week of the concert’s online broadcast, Rihanna’s live performance was streamed more than one million times, making it the most-streamed concert by any single artist on MSN Music in Concert for the year. The concert is available on MSN at music.msn.com/rihanna.
“Rihanna is an amazing talent in the studio and on the stage.
