Kevin Wall
FOUNDER/CEO
Kevin Wall is an Emmy Award-winning producer, activist and new media entrepreneur.
As founder and CEO of Control Room, which produces and distributes live music concerts across Internet, radio, television, and mobile phones, platforms, Wall pioneered the platform-agnostic digital media model making entertainment content available on all mediums and devices. Control Room has delivered more than 100 shows since 2005, featuring international superstars such as Madonna, Jay-Z, Rihanna, and more, across a variety of networks and platforms around the world. Wall expanded Control Room’s producer credits to include specialized iconic events – 2009 Green Inaugural Ball hosted by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Live Earth 2007: Concerts for a Climate in Crisis, and Live Earth 2008: India – featuring multi-artist performances, integrated messaging, and massive global media architecture. He has added brand integration to Control Room’s arsenal of entertainment expertise through creation of events such as Nokia New Year’s Eve and Macy’s Passport which associates and integrates well-known brands with music events and artists that better reach their consumers.
Aaron Grosky
PRESIDENT
As President of Control Room, Aaron Grosky guides the company’s long-term strategic direction across all aspects of the company’s business, including event production, television production, media architecture design, artist and celebrity relationships, sponsorship development, and creative vision.
Grosky serves as executive producer for all Control Room programming, including special events such as FIFA World Cup™ Kick-Off Celebration Concert, the 2009 Inaugural Green Ball hosted by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, Macy’s Passport and Nokia New Year’s Eve, and all Live Earth productions including the Live Earth events on July 7th, 2007. Responsible for the creative vision, oversight of all production elements, and serving as chief liaison for Control Room constituents from artist, brand, and content partner communities, productions under Grosky’s direction have received high marks in production value, talent procurement, and audience viewership.
Bob Baxter
CFO
Bob Baxter directs all aspects of finance, management information systems and human resources as well as budgeting and reporting systems for Control Room. As CFO, his primary responsibility is managing the fiscal health, company growth and profitability of Control Room.
Baxter has over 25 years of experience in entertainment finance, including senior financial/management positions at House of Blues, Hallmark Channel and DMX Music. Bob also served clients such as News Corporation, Twentieth Century-Fox, MGM/UA Studios, and MGM Grand while at Arthur Andersen.
David Asarnow
Executive Vice President, Corporate Development
As Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, David Asarnow identifies new business opportunities to expand Control Room’s product offering and distribution platforms through evaluation and execution of acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic transactions worldwide. Additionally, Asarnow oversees the monetization strategy of control room products globally across multiple business models including licensing and sponsorship.
During the Live Earth concerts in 2007 produced by Control Room, Asarnow oversaw the global media architecture, which included more than 500 media partners around the world, drawing an audience of two billion people across television, broadband and radio platforms worldwide.
A co-founder of the Control Room, he previously served as director of corporate development where he was instrumental in the development of the company’s original business plan and played a key role in the formation of Control Room.
His additional experience included various business development capacities at new media companies such as IGN Entertainment and Alta Vista.
David has an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts from Tulane University.
Miki Anzai
Senior Vice President, Business and Legal Affairs
As SVP of Business and Legal Affairs, Miki Anzai is the head of Control Room’s legal department and responsible for the legal aspect of all of the company’s business and personnel matters, including the company’s content agreements, on-going distribution deals, IP and tax matters, as well as general corporate maintenance, support of business development opportunities, supervision of litigation and labor/employment matters.
Prior to joining Control Room in 2006, Anzai held associate positions with Los Angeles offices of Loeb & Loeb LLP and Bingham McCutchen LLP (formerly Riordan & McKinzie) specializing in a variety of practice areas from litigation to tax law. Developing her expertise as a generalist, she worked within the corporate, litigation, tax and labor/employment practice groups, serving both small and multi-billion dollar clients. Anzai worked closely with clients and often served as the day-to-day client contact.
Anzai received her JD from UCLA Law School and her BA magna cum laude from Duke University, which she attended on an A.B. Duke Scholarship.
